From Friday 13th July 2012, the Police Federation opens a 24-hour hotline for any welfare issues or concerns that police officers on Olympic duty wish to raise.
The Police Federation of England and Wales is providing 24 hour cover during the Olympics and Paralympics. Federation representatives will be based at Dorset, Hatfield and Leatherhead during this time to provide cover at mutual aid accommodation sites.
Federation representatives will provide cover at accommodation sites where possible between 0800-2200hrs, with an on-call service available for the remainder of the time. In addition, the Metropolitan Police Federation will provide cover at all forward mustering briefing and deployment centres and they will be the point of contact for on-duty matters.
The helpline number is available to all Police Federation members on Olympics duty to use to report issues and/or request assistance during their tour of duty.
